Notes:Template: Service Portfolio/Catalogue entry
This file is a template for creating an entry in a Servcie Portfolio or Catalogue (the two share many pieces of information). The portfolio details all the sevrcies (past, present and future) provided by a provider, while the catalog is the customer-viewable version, showing servcies that can use.
To identfy your sevices please see Guide: Identifying Servcies, and for help collecting the information required for this template, see Guide: Specifying Servcies of portfolios and catalogs. Please note that while we indicate which information should be available in a Service Portfolio and Service Catalogue, the same informaiton might be conveyed in different ways in the two outputs. For instance a basic description of a servcie may be phrased differently in an internal portfolio to a more Public Relaitons orientated phrasing in a Service Catalogue.
This file is part of the FitSM series of standards for lightweight service management in federated IT infrastructures. It is intended to form the basis of documentation for those implementing (IT) service management following the FitSM approach or related frameworks. It may be edited to fit the needs of the specific area of application.
